Allied Scoring Tables, Inc. in its endeavor to promote excellence, we will be featuring an exceptional organization every month. This month, we would like to introduce to you Southside Youth Senter for its positive contributions to our youths.

Mission:

The Mission of the Southside Youth Senter is to provide a safe, supervised setting where youth can develop character and social skills in an educational yet fun environment, and to aid youth of all backgrounds, culture, and gender, to develop self-esteem, discipline, and respect for their community.

Who We Are:

The Southside Youth Senter (SYS), formally known as the Southside Girls Club, has been an invaluable resource to children, working class families and the community for more than 50 years. In the late 1990’s, our name was changed to better reflect who we are and our commitment to serve all children.SYS offers After-School, Holiday, Summer and Sports programs in a safe, supervised setting that promotes fun, learning and physical activity.

Who We Serve:

SYS After-School and Sports programs serve approximately 700 elementary school-age children (5-12) per year. The children that we serve directly reflect our community in terms of ethnicity and socioeconomic status. Our After-School Program serves as many as 40 children on any given day. Our Summer Program is expected to serve 80-100 children per day. Our single sport Sports Program (volleyball) serves as many as 350 young athletes per season.
